At 2008 One Night Stand, Big Show won the Singapore Cane Match against CM Punk, Tommy Dreamer, Chavo Guerrero, and WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison (and The Miz who was not officially an entrant). During the match, Big Show was injured when the steel stairs he was carrying to go after The Miz crashed into Big Show's head, leaving a bloody wound above his eye. He fought on despite the injury and, by defeating the other ECW champions, Big Show earned a title match against ECW Champion Kane at Night of Champions.
An update from WWE.com on Big Show's injury indicated that in addition to requiring eight stitches, Big Show suffered a fracture of the sinus cavity and possibly his orbital bone. This injury will keep Big Show out of the ring (at least to wrestle in the ring) until the Night of Champions on June 29 in Dallas, TX. Every time I see those pictures of his black eye on WWE.com, I just wanna give him a big hug.
